Since the 19th century, the Wüst family has been passionately active with mobility as their passion. First as wheelwrights with the transition to motorized transport as a logical consequence. From universal garage company via Volkswagen to Mercedes-Benz and then back to their “roots” with Carel Wüst Classics and the associated Carel Wüst Museum. Already in the 1990s, Carel Wüst (1942-1999), together with his brothers Cees and Chris, had the desire to set up a car museum.
In 2012, this vision took shape when two of his sons, George and Marcel, opened the Carel Wüst Museum in the (then and eponymous) Mercedes-Benz branch in Dordrecht. The museum is now located, just like Carel Wüst Classics, at Jan van der Heijdenstraat 34 in Oud-Beijerland. Here you will find 38 old- and youngtimers and, above all, a lot of unexpected stories!
We are almost always present and open, but sometimes not. Therefore, please call before your planned visit. A warm welcome and lots of fun at the Carel Wüst Museum!
For groups, special, tailor-made group arrangements are possible. For this, fill in your wishes under "group visit" or contact us to discuss your wishes.
The stories behind the car can be read on the walls, they are the stories that you do not look up so quickly. Maybe that is why, also nice for our female guests. Ladies have a prominent place in the Carel Wüst Museum anyway.
